Robert E. Reeves
President
Mr. Reeves was Senior Vice President and Treasurer of Security New York State Corp., now merged into Bank of America, where he managed portfolios of nine affiliated banks with $700 million in fixed income investments and the firm’s $1.4 billion liability structure. As a Pension Committee member, he monitored the Company’s defined benefit pension assets totaling $25 million. From 1984-1987, Mr. Reeves was Vice President of Investments at Prudential Securities. He is the former Chairman of the Board for the United Cerebral Palsy Association and the former Chairman of the Finance Committee at the Al Sigl Center. Mr. Reeves has an M.B.A. in Finance from Wharton Graduate School of Business, University of Pennsylvania and a B.A. in Economics, University of Rochester.
David J. Upson
Vice President
Mr. Upson was Vice President of Investments at Prudential Securities prior to joining GeoVest, where he managed $50 million in individual, corporate and non-profit accounts. He is a member and past president of the CFA Society of Rochester. Mr. Upson received a B.S. in Finance and Transportation Distribution Management from Syracuse University School of Management.
Philip M. Byrne, CFA
Vice President & Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Byrne was a Securities Analyst at QCI Asset Management prior to joining GeoVest, where he specialized in Financial Services, Healthcare, and Economic Analysis. From 1989-1995, he was an Account Manager/Securities Trader at Manning & Napier Advisors, for a $1 billion account base and was later a member of the Research staff. Mr. Byrne is a member of the CFA Society of Rochester and holds the designation of Chartered Financial Analyst. He has an M.B.A. in Finance, Public Accounting, and Corporate Accounting from the Simon School of Business, University of Rochester, and a B.S. from St. Bonaventure University in Marketing and Management Science. Mr. Byrne’s research interests include International Economics, Medical Technology, Financial Statement Analysis, and Economic History.
Nancy M. Wagner
Vice President and Manager of Operations
Ms. Wagner served as Senior Operations Manager with Bank of America, formerly Fleet National Bank, providing client support in the areas of trade and securities processing. Before that, Ms. Wagner worked at the former First Federal Savings and Loan Association, where she managed and traded mortgage-backed securities, US Treasuries/agencies, global, and money-market instruments. Additionally, she is experienced in risk management, in the development of procedures and metrics, and in the training of personnel in investment products and services. Ms. Wagner served on Depository Trust Company’s Settlement Advisory Board from 1998 through 2004 and completed Cannon School for Trust Operations plus, Advanced Management Systems Operations Course.
Michele Krug
Vice President and Trader
Michele Krug was Trust Officer and Portfolio Manager for the Private Clients Group of Bank of America, formerly Fleet National Bank where she was responsible for managing personal trust and institutional accounts. Previously she worked in the Operations Department for the Bank managing the Trade Settlement Dept. in its Rochester and Boston locations. Ms. Krug has a B.S. in Mathematics from Clarkson University.
